Unlike steel, aluminium furniture doesn't rust. Also, it doesn't break down under ultra-violet light like some plastics.
The straps are made of durable vinyl with mildew inhibitors and ultra-violet stabilizers built in. The vinyl has a "memory" so that it retains its shape and doesn't sag.
Either vinyl coated polyester or 100% acrylic fabric is used for strength and a long life outdoors. Cushions utilise "eva-dri" foam and dacron which do not absorb water.
Tops are generally "Acrylite R" which looks like hand beaten glass but has actually 17 time the impact strength.
Heavy gauge aluminium tubing is used. Sometimes solid sections are used for strength. Frames are welded then "powder coated" which is many times more durable than paint. All furniture is constructed for commercial use, which is nice to know, as your furniture is designed for years of trouble free use.
